Punk started in the 70's as an irritating, underground uprising against mainstream popular culture music. Bands like Sex Pistols, the Offspring, and Rancid helped bring punk rock back in the mid-1990's. This time the blend of speedy, simple as soap rock with smooth popular melodies stayed on the TV. These days, so-called pop punk is the main piece of puzzle in the sphere of chart music. These ten tracks are fine place to start from to grasp punk pop.
1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's unbounded attempt to insult all grown ups in the locality, this album featured a girl clothed as an enema au pair on the booklet. The punk pop inside is adolescent and unforgettable with the massive hit single “All the Small Things.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Later declining from their mid-90's fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day faded to the studio to mix punk's 1st opera. Though the popular punk band was unsure about their fanclub's reaction to Jesus of Suburbia, it to be a UK rock classic climbing several charts and gaining an award for Best Punk Album of 2004.
5. The Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray
The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Dando is the only punk musician to be known as a true teen heartthrob. Along the way the rock band wrote down some splendid songs, too, featuring “The Turnpike Down”, “Download Paramore” and “Rest Assured”.
6. The Offspring - Not the One

This French group from Canada appeared in the public eye in October with their studio album Perfect. This second studio album is much better and covers the hit single “Welcome To My Life.”
9. Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler

10. Weezer - Surf Wax America (Blue Album)
Despite the fact that they are esteemed as grandfathers of the “emo” compositions, Weezer's records are also true pop punk. “Undone - The Sweater Song” was their first popular song and then a video putting the band in a Happy Days episode stimulated to make the single even more popular.
